1:2 SEND Support - Year 2 | Westerhope | Immediate Start
We’re looking for a caring, calm, and confident SEND Support Assistant to work 1:2 with two Year 2 pupils at a Primary School. This is a really rewarding role where your patience, encouragement, and steady support will help young learners feel safe, confident, and ready to engage with the school day. What you’ll be doing
- Providing 1:2 support to Year 2 pupils with SEND
- Helping the pupils stay engaged with lessons and routines
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support learning
- Creating a calm, structured environment that helps the pupils feel secure
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive relationships
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- A calm, patient approach and strong communication skills
- Someone who builds trust easily and celebrates progress, big or small
- Teaching assistant, care, youth work, or support work experience is welcome
