Reporting into the Regional Manager North, the successful Project Manager Highways Technology will work closely with our Highways Technology Teams. A Highways Technology background is crucial for this role to ensure the successful and timely delivery of projects across the North East . This is a hybrid role and will require travel to meetings and ability to work from the Durham office 2-3 days a week .

What you'll do:
  • Office & customer site-based work as required to ensure project delivery to quality, safety, and environmental standards within specified timescales and to budget, in accordance with Telent and client QEHS procedures.
  • Report project Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to key stakeholders, highlighting and managing all risks & issues and their mitigations throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the successful end to end delivery of allocated projects
  • Provide day to day management and direction and support to the assigned Project Delivery Team, providing regular and effective communication and prioritisation.
  • Creation and ongoing management of the Project Execution/Mobilisation Plan(s).
  • Lead all aspects of project delivery
  • Have experience of 1500 series, Civils infrastructure for highways installation specifications
  • Identify areas for improvement in project performance to drive continuous improvement
  • Manage and coordinate the installation and commissioning of specified products and/or services.
  • Management of site handovers
Who you are:

The success Project Manager will come from a Highways Technology background and understand about Service Delivery Frameworks of Highways Technology projects. Have the ability to Matrix manage Project Teams, are organised and thrive on managing projects, coordinating teams, and ensuring tasks are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Project Manager Key Requirements:
  • Previous Highways Technology project expereince is Key for this role
  • Strong people management, leadership and customer stakeholder skills
  • Experience of managing complex customer and end user relationships
  • Have experience of NEC 3 & 4 contracts
  • Formal PM Qualification (APM, PMP, Prince 2) or equivalent experience.
  • Project operations experience of using HIABS
  • Full UK driving licence
