Outsourced FD Manager

We’re partnering with a growing firm looking to hire a Manager or Senior Manager into their expanding Outsourced FD team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a portfolio of SME clients, lead relationships, and oversee the delivery of tech-enabled finance solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and manage a portfolio of SME clients as the main point of contact.
- Oversee monthly finance outputs (management accounts, VAT, reconciliations, cash flow, MI).
- Lead client onboarding and ongoing engagement.
- Coordinate year-end accounts and corporation tax processes.
- Ensure accurate delivery using cloud accounting tools.
- Identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team.
- Maintain workflow quality, deadlines, and client satisfaction.
- Support continuous improvement of processes and reporting.
- Experience managing SME clients in practice or outsourced finance.
- Strong technical knowledge (month-end, VAT, statutory accounts).
- Confident leading client relationships and meetings.
- Proven team leadership or mentoring experience.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Experience with tools such as Xero, Fathom, or Dext.
