Pay: £95 - £115 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

Are you organised, reliable, and confident working with students and families to improve school attendance?

GSL Education are looking for a proactive and dependable Attendance Support Assistant to work in a school in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is ideal for an experienced Attendance Support Assistant who can help monitor attendance, follow up on absences, and support students in returning to regular education.

As an Attendance Support Assistant , you will play an important role in promoting good attendance and punctuality. The successful candidate will be confident communicating with parents, staff, and students, and must be able to travel when required.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor and record student attendance daily
* Follow up on absences and lateness
* Support students and families to improve attendance
* Carry out home visits when required
* Work closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams
* Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements for the Attendance Support Assistant role:

* Experience working in a school, pastoral, or support role preferred
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Must be able to drive and hold a full, clean driving licence
* Willingness to travel as part of the role
* An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
