Serious Injury Lawyer
About the role
Serious Injury Solicitor / Legal Executive (4+ PQE)
We are partnering with a highly regarded, Legal 500-recognised law firm in Newcastle to secure a skilled Serious Injury Lawyer for their award winning Claimant Personal Injury department.
This firm has an outstanding reputation for achieving exceptional settlements and delivering first-class client care. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team handling a complex, high-value caseload, including multi-million-pound claims involving catastrophic and brain injuries.
As a key member of the Serious Injury team, you will take ownership of your own high-value caseload while playing a vital part in the department's continued success. Your core duties will include:
Caseload Management: Managing a varied and complex caseload of serious claimant injury claims from inception through to successful settlement.
Client Care: Providing expert, empathetic legal advice to clients, ensuring their best interests and rehabilitation needs are fiercely protected.
Technical Drafting: Drafting robust legal documents and correspondence tailored to complex serious injury cases.
Collaboration: Working closely with leading counsel, medical experts, and multi‑disciplinary teams to build watertight cases.
Strategy & Research: Conducting thorough legal research to support innovative case strategies and maximize outcomes.
Compliance & Best Practice: Ensuring strict adherence to regulatory frameworks and actively contributing to the development of the department's internal procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and empathetic legal professional with a proven track record in high-value personal injury litigation. We are looking for:
A Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive, ideally with 4+ years’ PQE.
Demonstrable experience managing complex, high‑value claimant personal injury or catastrophic injury matters.
Exceptional negotiation skills and the confidence to communicate effectively with clients navigating life-changing circumstances.
A detail‑oriented approach with highly developed drafting and documentation skills.
The ability to work brilliantly on your own initiative while also collaborating seamlessly within a high-performing team.
