GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic, creative, and supportive Art Focused Teaching Assistants to work within engaging and inclusive schools across Newcastle . This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for the arts and a desire to inspire young learners in their creative development.

As an Art-Focused Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging Art lessons, encourage students' creativity, and provide tailored assistance to help students thrive both academically and artistically.

Your Role as an Art-Focused Teaching Assistant (TA) Will Include:

* Assisting in the delivery of Art lessons and supporting practical activities.
* Encouraging students' creativity through hands-on guidance and positive reinforcement.
* Preparing materials, organising resources, and helping maintain an inspiring classroom environment.
* Supporting students with varying abilities and learning needs.
* Promoting positive behaviour and contributing to a safe, inclusive learning atmosphere.
* Upholding school safeguarding procedures at all times.

What We're Looking For:

* Experience working with children or young people (school settings, youth work, tutoring, workshops, etc.).
* A strong interest or background in Art (fine art, design, crafts, digital art, etc.).
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
* A creative, patient, and proactive attitude within the classroom.
* Relevant qualifications in Art or Education (preferred but not essential).
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
