Infrastructure Works Supervisor
Nexus is on the ‘lookout’ for a proactive, safety-focused Works Supervisor to join our Infrastructure Access & Performance team.

As a Works Supervisor, you'll take charge of contractor supervision and ensure capital programme works meet the high standards we expect. You’ll champion safety, performance, and quality, delivering a reliable, cost effective service that keeps our infrastructure resilient and future ready.
You’ll also lead on the set up of safe systems of work including PICOB, Worksite Controller duties for Level 1 and Level 2 Worksites, be part of an OHL Switching team and provider of additional competencies including Trainmaster. What’s in the mix?
Your typical shift could include:
- Reviewing Weekly Engineering Traffic Circulars and Engineering Access Arrangements.
- Delivering safety critical briefings that keep everyone sharp and informed.
- Coordinating and communicating with stakeholders within Planning & Access, Major Projects, Engineers, Health and Safety team and external support staff.
- Spotting potential issues early and solving them before they escalate.
- Deliver Fixed Area Planning Programme.
- Be part of the team delivering both Capital and Maintenance works.
- Support unforeseen Infrastructure faults and incidents.
- Ensuring works are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
- Attending key Stakeholder and Works Planning Meetings.It’s varied, collaborative, and no two weeks feel the same.
- You can communicate with all levels of people with a customer focus approach.
- Bring solid knowledge of the rail industry and proven experience leading and supervising teams
- Adopt a flexible approach to changing and emerging priorities, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook comfortably.
- Have the ability to think logically to resolve problems whilst remaining calm and professional under pressure.
- Hold a full valid driving licence.
- Deliver top quality work with safety as your number one priority.
- Willing to develop and learn new skills and competencies.

You’ll be part of a team of talented supervisors, working an 11 Line Roster, with a mix of Day, Night Shift and weekend working including being on Standby. About Us
