Caretaker - Community-Focused Primary School in Newcastle
We are currently seeking a reliable and practical Caretaker to join a friendly and community-focused primary school in Newcastle. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming school environment.

This primary school is known for its warm atmosphere, supportive staff culture and excellent relationships with families. The premises team plays an essential role in ensuring the school runs smoothly and remains a safe and pleasant place for children to learn.
Role Responsibilities
• Daily opening and locking of the school site
• Carrying out general maintenance, repairs and cleaning tasks
• Ensuring site security and monitoring visitor access
• Supporting classrooms, hall setup and school events
• Conducting safety checks and maintaining compliance logs
• Liaising with contractors and external services when required
Experience and Qualifications
• Experience as a caretaker or maintenance worker desirable
• Strong practical skills and problem-solving ability
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Friendly, flexible and dependable
Salary
Paid according to local support staff scale.
