Senior Support Worker
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to lead care delivery and support adults to live independently and with dignity.
Position: Senior Support Worker
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 per annum
Location: Northumberland
Hours: Full time, including evenings and weekends
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: Ongoing
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting and guiding the wider care team. You will work closely with individuals, families and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for those you support.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading and supporting the care team to deliver excellent standards of care
• Providing personal care including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility support
• Supporting with medication, including administering where required
• Assisting with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning and laundry
• Promoting independence and encouraging individuals to make their own choices
• Supporting access to community activities, appointments and social opportunities
• Building positive relationships with individuals and their families
• Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns
• Maintaining accurate and confidential care records
• Working collaboratively with health and social care professionals
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Previous experience within adult social care
• Experience supporting or leading a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A responsible, reliable and committed approach
• A passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
• A willingness to complete relevant training
You will also require:
• Right to work in the UK
• An enhanced DBS check
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts including evenings and weekends
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
