Role Overview
The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for all visitors, families, and external stakeholders. This role is essential in maintaining the school’s high standard of customer service and administrative efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
Welcoming students, staff, parents, visitors, and external agencies in a warm and professional manner
Managing incoming phone calls, emails, and enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate communication
Handling visitor sign-in processes and safeguarding checks
Maintaining the reception area to ensure a tidy, organised, and welcoming environment
Supporting wider administrative tasks including data entry, document preparation, mail handling, and record keeping
Liaising with staff across departments to ensure smooth communication and daily operations
Coordinating appointment schedules, meeting spaces, and visitor access arrangements
Providing essential assistance during school events, parents’ evenings, and open days
Upholding strict confidentiality and safeguarding expectations at all times
This role requires excellent communication skills, a professional presence, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy school environment.
Administrative Team Information
The Receptionist will join a well-structured and supportive administrative team overseen by the Office Manager. The team works collaboratively to provide efficient office operations, high-quality communication, and reliable support to teaching and leadership staff.
The school operates with modern digital systems, including SIMS/Arbor, CPOMS, and Google Workspace, with full training provided where necessary. The team values positivity, adaptability, and a strong sense of community.

Previous experience in reception, customer service, or administrative roles
