Working Hours:
4-week rotating shift pattern
Week 1
Mon–Thu: 18:00 – 05:00
Fri–Sun: Off
Week 2
Mon–Wed: 07:00 – 18:00
Thu: Off
Fri–Sun: 19:00 – 06:00
Week 3
Mon–Wed: Off
Thu–Sun: 07:00 – 18:00
Week 4
Mon–Fri: Off

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a busy manufacturing operation on a temporary basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support across a wide range of production equipment. The role has a strong emphasis on hydraulic systems, electric furnaces, and PLC-controlled machinery , ensuring plant reliability and minimising downtime.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Responding quickly to equipment breakdowns
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
- Repairing and servicing hydraulic systems
- Maintaining electric furnaces and associated controls
- Fault finding on PLC-controlled production machinery
- Completing accurate maintenance documentation
- Ensuring compliance with site health & safety procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement and uptime initiatives
Skills & Experience:
- Proven multi-skilled electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
- Strong hydraulic systems knowledge
- Previous experience working on electric furnaces
- PLC fault-finding and diagnostics ability
- Strong fault diagnosis and breakdown response skills
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition desirable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, proactive, and self-motivated approach
