An 11–18 secondary school serving the Walker and Riverside community is seeking a resilient and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join its pastoral team immediately. This is a school with clear routines, consistent behaviour systems and visible senior leadership. The focus is on early intervention, reintegration support and maintaining high expectations for all pupils. Walker / Riverside Area, Newcastle upon Tyne£95 – £115 per day (PAYE) | Full-Time | Immediate Start The Role You will: Provide targeted support to pupils at risk of exclusion Work 1:1 and in small groups to address behaviour and engagement Support reintegration into mainstream lessons Implement behaviour plans and monitor progress Liaise with Heads of Year, SENCO and safeguarding leads De-escalate situations calmly and professionally You will act as a consistent adult presence, promoting accountability and positive routines. Who This Role Suits Graduates in Psychology, Criminology or Education Experienced Behaviour Mentors or Youth Workers Sports coaches or ex-military professionals with strong presence Individuals confident managing challenging behaviour Resilience, consistency and calm authority are essential.
