The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers to provide targeted classroom support, assist pupils with varying learning needs, and help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities of the Learning Support Assistant Role:

Supporting pupils within the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
Supporting pupils with varying learning needs and abilities
Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence in learning
Promoting positive behaviour and classroom routines
Helping to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Learning Support Assistant Will:

Have experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills
Be committed to supporting pupil development and progress
Have a positive and proactive approach to classroom support
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
Have a fully checkable work history
