A welcoming secondary school in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This Graduate Teaching Assistant role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in teaching and looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

The successful Graduate Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant , you will assist with classroom learning, provide small group support and help pupils remain engaged and motivated throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities of the Graduate Teaching Assistant:

Supporting teaching and learning across a range of subjects.

Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.

Promoting positive behaviour and classroom engagement.

Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.

Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Graduate Teaching Assistant Will:

Hold a degree in any subject area.

Be interested in pursuing a career in education.

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Be proactive, adaptable and enthusiastic.

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).

Have a fully checkable work history.
