What You’ll Be Doing Providing 1:1 and small-group support for children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language delays.Supporting children’s emotional regulation and social development, using calm, consistent strategies.Working alongside class teachers and the SENCo to adapt lessons and create accessible learning activities.Encouraging independence and resilience through structured routines and positive reinforcement.Helping pupils engage fully in classroom life, from morning phonics to creative play and outdoor learning.Liaising with parents and carers to celebrate achievements and share progress.Taking part in training and reflection sessions, with access to free accredited online courses through the Protocol Education CPD Academy. Who You Are A kind, patient, and reliable person who enjoys working with children.Ideally a recent graduate in Psychology, or a related subject, looking to gain hands-on experience in schools.A good communicator who can build trust with children and adults alike.Calm under pressure, flexible in approach, and always ready to listen and learn.You may already have experience supporting children with SEND, or you’re eager to develop those skills with guidance and training.(Bonus!)
