We are working with a school in the heart of Newcastle who are looking for a passionate, proactive and confident Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils with SEND 1:1. This school prides itself on its warm and welcoming community, boasts excellent transport links and has an onsite car park. Key Responsibilities: Supporting students on a 2:1 ratio or delivering 1:1 interventionsBuilding positive, trusting relationships with studentsCreating a safe, welcoming, and well-organised learning environmentCollaborating with teaching staff to plan and deliver high-impact interventionsMaintaining strong communication with families, schools, and external agenciesBeing a supportive and collaborative team player Requirements: A minimum of 1 year of experience supporting children or families with SEN or challenging behavioursA confident approach to behaviour managementAn understanding of trauma-informed strategies and a commitment to building connections before setting correctionsA natural team player who can promote a supportive and inclusive environment for allDemonstrated understanding and prioritisation of safeguarding principles Schedule: Full-time, permanent positionMonday to Friday, term-time only (+3 days during school holidays)Core hours: 8:30 - 15:30 Why Work with Us?
