JOB OVERVIEW
We are having Nurse Prescriber jobs in Newcastle area for individuals to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. You will be responsible for assessing patients, diagnosing common illnesses and injuries, and prescribing medication as necessary.

How to become a nurse prescriber in the UK?
Below are some general steps by which one can become a nurse prescriber in the UK:
Firstly, you must be a registered nurse with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC)
Secondly, you must meet the requirements set by the NMC, which include having at least three years of post-registration experience. On these three years, one must be in a clinical area in which you intend to prescribe.
Thirdly, you must have completed a NMC course that has been approved by the Council, either at a university or any other educational institution. The duration of this course usually takes around six to twelve months.
Fourthly, you are required to gain enough experience under the supervision of a medical practitioner, also known as a DMP.
Additionally, you must apply for the prescriber qualification from the NMC council upon gaining the experience mentioned above
Lastly, you are required to register as a nurse prescriber upon acquiring the nurse prescriber qualification.
