Assistant Project Manager
Position Overview:
- Title: Assistant Project Manager (Client Facing)
- Sector Focus: Education, University, Health, MOD, Local Authority, Industrial and Scientific.
- Project Size: £500k to £50 million.
- Key Responsibilities: You will work as part of a larger project team engaged in commissions from concept to handover, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. You will be mentored and given the platform to develop your knowledge and skill set with a clear path for your progression to Project Manager.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: At least 2 years experience already in project management.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Supporting Business Unit Directors
- Assist in the effective delivery of business objectives and strategy, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Provide input and analysis to support decision-making processes and strategic planning.
- Customer Engagement and Relationship Management
- Foster positive relationships with customers through consistent communication and a customer-centric approach.
- Identify opportunities for expanding services and solutions that meet customer needs, contributing to long-term growth and satisfaction.
- Proactively address customer concerns to maintain high satisfaction levels and loyalty.
- Service Delivery and Quality Assurance
- Ensure high-quality services and deliverables are provided in accordance with customer requirements and expectations.
- Monitor performance metrics and feedback to guarantee continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain a consistent and high standard of work.
- Project/Programme Management
- Manage projects and/or programmes to deliver successful outcomes, ensuring timely and cost-effective results.
- Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and budget management, adhering to business procedures and industry best practices.
- Mitigate risks and resolve issues that arise during project execution, maintaining focus on objectives.
- Contract Administration and Management
- Serve as the contract administrator, employers agent, or project manager, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Administer contracts effectively, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, budget constraints, and timelines.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure contract terms are clearly understood and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
- Customer Presentations and Reporting
- Prepare and deliver presentations to customers, clearly communicating progress, deliverables, and outcomes.
- Provide regular updates and detailed reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.
- Supporting Business Unit Directors
- Qualifications: A construction-related qualification would be beneficial but not essential.
