Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Salary: £85-£110 per day (dependent on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Full-Time / Flexible

A vibrant and inclusive school in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an enthusiastic and imaginative Creative Teaching Assistant to join their team. This Creative Teaching Assistant role is ideal for individuals with a creative background in areas such as art, music, drama or sports who are passionate about engaging young people in education.

The successful Creative Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers to support pupils both academically and creatively. As a Creative Teaching Assistant , you will help deliver engaging activities, support classroom learning and encourage pupils to express themselves in a positive and constructive way.

Key Responsibilities of the Creative Teaching Assistant:

Supporting teaching and learning through creative approaches.
Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Assisting with lesson delivery, particularly in creative subjects.
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
Supporting pupils with additional needs through creative strategies.
Helping to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Creative Teaching Assistant Will:

Have a background or strong interest in creative subjects (art, music, drama, sport).
Be enthusiastic, energetic and adaptable.
Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
Be confident engaging and motivating pupils.
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
Have a fully checkable work history.

This Creative Teaching Assistant role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. All successful applicants must satisfy safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
