Sen Teaching Assistant
SEN Teaching Assistant Newcastle Start Date: ASAP or September Salary: £90 - £100 per day Do you have experience supporting secondary students with autism, ADHD, and SEMH? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive secondary school in Newcastle, providing an inclusive environment for students with additional needs. The school promotes a positive and structured setting, ensuring all students are supported both academically and emotionally. The school is looking to take on a SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term or permanent basis starting ASAP or September. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be working across KS3 and KS4, providing 1:1 support for students with autism, ADHD and SEMH, alongside some general classroom support to ensure all pupils remain engaged in learning. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting students with autism, ADHD and SEMH
- Experience working on a 1:1 basis within a secondary setting
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- A ‘can-do’ attitude and strong teamwork skills
- A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to help you with the easy onboarding process
