Librarian – Outstanding Secondary School – Newcastle upon Tyne

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Librarian to join an Outstanding secondary school in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about literacy, reading and supporting students in developing independent learning skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the school library, ensuring it is a welcoming, well-resourced and inspiring environment for students. You will work closely with staff and students to promote reading for pleasure, support research skills and contribute to whole-school literacy initiatives.
This role requires strong organisational skills, a proactive approach and the ability to engage students in reading and learning. You will play a key role in supporting the school’s academic success and fostering a positive reading culture.
