Technical Sales Specialist - North UK, Scotland & Northern Ireland
Drive sales and build strong customer relationships
We are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to develop our business across the North of England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. You will be responsible for driving sales, nurturing customer relationships, and identifying new opportunities while supporting existing clients. This role involves regular interaction with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Technical Support, and R&D.
Location: Candidates must be based within the territory, preferably between Newcastle, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.
About the Role
Reporting to the Global Sales Manager, you will work closely with the UK Sales Manager to:
Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Manage the full sales cycle and build strong relationships with key accounts.
Conduct on-site sales visits, product demonstrations, and training sessions (overnight travel may be required).
Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and follow structured sales processes.
Support marketing activities, including exhibitions, symposiums, webinars, and training videos.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
Experience and Skills
Educational background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field .
Familiarity with products in process and organic chemistry.
Knowledge of Pharmaceutical, CRO, Biotech, BioPharma, and Research organisations.
Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Full UK driving license.
