Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French, Spanish, and/or German to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of A-Level teaching. You will play a key role in fostering a love of languages, enhancing linguistic skills, and preparing students for their future academic and professional endeavours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination board requirements.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
• Utilise a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of MFL departmental initiatives and resources.
• Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events, promoting language learning beyond the classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching French, Spanish, and/or German at secondary school level.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for languages.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience teaching A-Level languages.
• Additional language proficiency.
• Experience with integrating technology into language teaching.
