Matchday Chef Newcastle

We are recruiting for experienced chefs of all levels from CDP – Lead chef, to work on match days all season. The site has a variety of kitchens.

You will work as part of a brigade of chefs to achieve a successful service for your lead chef. Working on a section and helping where needed.

Experience in large scale banqueting is preferable, but if you have a minimum of 3 years chef experience in fast paced environments, feel free to get in touch as hard working, skilled chefs with great attitudes are always welcome.

Pay Ranges: £15-£20 p/h (role & experience dependent)

You also have the choice of working with us at other venues/events and freedom to choose your shifts.

Requirements for the role

• Valid Food Safety Level 2 & Food Allergens certificates – we can provide if needed
• You will preferably have an NVQ Level 1,2,3 Professional Cookery (or equivalent) OR relevant experience in the role.
• Team Player
• An eagerness to work hard & enthusiasm for your role
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Own knives in a knife case
• Uniform – Chef whites trousers and safety shoes having your own aprons is a bonus

Responsibilities and Duties

• Cook to specification and opportunity for menu creation
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness to the highest standard
• Product Delivery, Standards and Innovation
• Liaising with Front of House Staff and Management
• Stock Control, Waste Management and Finance
• Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Maintenance
• Be aware of and adhere to Health and Safety at Work, COSHH and other legislation at all times
