Support Worker
Job description
To work as a member of a team of support staff to create and sustain a home in which they will be supported with personal care, administration of medication, providing meals and companionship.
Responsibilities
- The person appointed will work as a member of a team of support staff in achieving the objectives of the scheme.
- To assist client to create and sustain a home in which they will be encouraged, assisted and supported to achieve maximum independence.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Have a genuine commitment to working as part of a team.
- Registration with NISCC within the first six months.
- Enhanced Access NI to be completed by the successful candidate.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience of working with clients with challenging behaviours and intensive support needs.
- Full UK driving licence.
