Waste Operative
The role involves safely carrying out operations under prescribed working procedures to effectively collect, process, sort and manage customer waste. Main Duties: * Ensure routine collection and disposal of waste from around site * Safe use of forklift, pallet rider, van and other mobile plant * Maintain good housekeeping and safe storage of all waste * Assist in the segregation, packaging and labelling of waste * Assist in the removal from site of all waste materials to reduce stock build up * Monitor safety of operations and ensure team compliance with operating instructions * Complete daily vehicle and equipment check sheets as required * Liaise routinely with manager or supervisor on operational and safety aspects of work Essential Criteria: * Valid forklift licence * Current driving licence * Previous experience with waste management preferred * Ability to work on own and use initiative If your skills match the above criteria, please apply with your up-to-date CV
