Please note you may be required to work at height or in small spaces due to the nature of this work. Appropriate training is provided in these instances. Applicants should be willing to attend day release at Team Valley, Gateshead (one day per week/fortnight). Applicants will be working with other engineers' day to day and will mainly be site-based, often travelling to multiple sites in one day. Where possible, the applicant will be collected/dropped off from their home. However, there may be times when the applicant has to travel to an agreed meeting point. The applicants should be able to drive, have their own vehicle, and be willing to get to the first site/ meeting point of the day when home pick-up is not possible. An interest, background or prior qualification in an electrical discipline would be advantageous. A 6-month probationary period applies. DBS check and possible BS7858 screening is required. Pyrocel is based in the Durham area. Although the office is Newcastle based there is not a need to attend the Newcastle office every day and often the successful applicant will be picked up by a local engineer.
