About the Role

As Teacher of Design Technology , you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 , with the possibility of contributing to KS5 depending on experience and specialism. You will deliver a curriculum that encourages creativity, problem-solving and practical application.

Students develop skills in areas such as:

• Product design and iterative development

• Practical workshop skills and safe use of equipment

• CAD/CAM design and digital manufacturing processes

• Materials technology, including woods, polymers and metals

• Design analysis and evaluation

Lessons are structured to develop students’ ability to move from concept to prototype, combining creativity with technical understanding. You will guide students through the design process while building strong practical confidence and independent thinking.
