Telehandler

Are you an experienced telehandler operator looking for long-term work in the North East? We are seeking a reliable driver to join a major new build housing site in the Newcastle area for an ongoing contract.

As the primary operator on-site, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of all materials, ensuring the build progresses without delays. Key duties include:

• Operating a telescopic handler to move materials across a live housing site.
• Unloading deliveries (bricks, blocks, timber, etc.) and managing site storage areas.
• Distributing materials to loading bays for bricklayers, joiners, and roofers.
• Performing daily vehicle safety inspections and maintaining the machine in good order.
• Supporting the Site Manager with site logistics and ensuring a safe working environment.

• Valid CPCS or NPORS card (Telehandler category).
• Significant experience working on new build housing sites.
• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, steel toe boots).
• A dependable work ethic and a proactive approach to supporting on-site trades.
• Reliable transport for commuting within the Newcastle/Tyneside area.
• Full UK driving licence.
