Project Manager
Step into a pivotal role as Project Manager at Siemens Energy, where you'll lead multi-million-pound New Unit projects for key UK Waste to Energy and Industrial Decarbonisation clients. Acting as the single point of contact throughout the lifecycle of the project, you'll manage and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery across our Industrial Steam Turbine and Generator portfolio. You will oversee client engagement, planning, and full project delivery and closeout. While UK travel will be required to connect with customer sites, your primary base will be our UK Siemens Energy offices, offering built-in flexibility. Efficiency is key - this role demands a sharp focus on time, cost, quality, and above all, safety. If you're an experienced project manager with a passion for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, this could be your next big step.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Manage the full lifecycle of high-value projects, ensuring alignment with contractual, commercial, scheduling, budgetary, safety, and quality requirements.
- Serve as the single point of contact for clients, driving satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute the installation, commissioning, and commercial closeout of projects.
- Lead technical discussions on steam turbine power generation units up to 250MW, supporting effective decision-making and planning.
- Collaborate closely with the commercial project manager to monitor project progress, proactively resolve issues, and ensure full contractual delivery.
- Develop customer relationships and take an active role in supporting business growth targets.
- Coach and mentor junior team members on project management best practices.
- A degree or equivalent, ideally with an engineering or commercial focus.
- A formal project management qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in engineering project delivery within the steam turbine power generation market.
- Proven track record in managing large, multidisciplinary projects; experience with rotating equipment or turbomachinery is a plus.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and planning tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Strong commercial acumen with contract management experience.
