Senior Project Manager
Exciting Opportunity: Senior Project Manager (Client Facing)
Our established project management team is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager to join us due to the significant project awards weve recently secured. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage high-profile projects from initial concept to successful handover, working across a range of sectors.
The Role:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering new build and refurbishment capital projects ranging from £500k to £150 million. Youll manage the entire project lifecycle, from concept and contract documentation through to liaising with design teams, appointing main contractors, and ensuring successful delivery to handover.
You'll work closely with all stakeholders, including clients and contractors, to ensure the highest level of service is delivered on each project.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the completion of individual projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Develop action plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and work plans.
Assess project risks and establish effective contingency plans.
Manage inputs from multiple stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
Ensure contract documentation is accurate and up-to-date, and oversee the appointment of contractors and consultants.
Lead and mentor your project team, overseeing project activities from initiation through to successful handover.
Who Were Looking For:
Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, managing the delivery of complex construction projects.
Experience in sectors such as Education, Health, MOD, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Industrial, or Scientific.
A successful track record of client project delivery, including project leadership and client management.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in managing and motivating project teams.
Demonstrable experience in Contract Administration and the Employers Agent role.
A good working knowledge of key JCT contracts, with experience managing contractual issues such as extensions of time, loss, and expense claims.
A Construction-related Bachelor's degree is essential, and you may be chartered or working towards chartered status.
5+ years of experience in project management or a relevant field, with a focus on successfully delivering projects.
