Salary: £100 - £130 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Newcastle .

As a Cover Supervisor (CS) , you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged in their learning and that lessons run smoothly using the materials provided.

Your Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

* Supervise classes across different subjects during teacher absences
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students stay on task
* Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Support students in completing their classwork and learning activities
* Provide guidance and assistance where needed during lessons
* Report any behavioural issues or concerns to relevant staff
* Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:

* Experience working with children or young people is desirable
* Confidence in managing a classroom environment
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* The ability to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively
* A flexible and proactive approach to working in schools
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
