We are a highly performing finance team that provides excellent support to managers across the organisation. As part of the Financial Accounting team you will be leading on the technical support to financial systems used by the council. You will also be a key member of our ERP implementation team as we implement new systems and processes across the council. Who are we looking for?
You will need experience of working in a strong finance team. You will ideally have knowledge of local authority accounting regulations and practice and a strong background in financial systems. Experience of ERP implementation in a local government setting is highly desirable. An awareness of statutory reporting requirements associated with local government and sound communication and organisation skills are essential. To be successful you will need to illustrate the ability to oversee a technical accounting area and be able to plan and prioritise activities in line with team objectives.
