Mechanical Technician
Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression. Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Mechanical Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same. The Mechanical Engineer, will be responsible for:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with contractual requirements.
- Maintain plant and equipment in accordance with O&M manuals, industry best practices, and relevant legislation.
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), policies, and procedures.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests within agreed timeframes, completing all necessary documentation.
- Work safely and professionally at all times, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Operate effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment in plant rooms and service enclosures.
- Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
- City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- Electrical Qualifications (desirable)
- Proven experience in mechanical and/or multi-disciplinary maintenance, including DHW, LTHW, and ventilation systems.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
- Competent IT skills, including use of a PDA.
