Private Client Tax Manager

Exciting opportunity for a Private Client Tax Manager to join a well-established firm based in Newcastle.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Private Client tax team and Client Relationship Managers, assisting in the delivery of both compliance and advisory services to clients.

As a Private Client Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Supervision and management of the personal tax return process
• Involvement in written negotiations on HMRC enquiries
• Monitoring the tax compliance position using tax administration software, keeping internal control records up to date and ensuring compliance with quality control procedures
• Mentoring and training Tax Seniors and Assistants
• Delegating work to Tax Seniors and Assistants
• Giving regular constructive feedback to those completing work for you
• Liaising with the client service team and with colleagues in other disciplines to provide a co-ordinated service to the client

To qualify for this Private Client Tax Manager position, ideally you should meet the following:

• ATT, CTA or equivalent qualified
• Experience working in a Private Client / Personal tax position
• 3-5+ years’ experience working in an Accountancy Firm.
• Comfortable supporting junior member of the team.
