JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (generally 8.30am – 5pm)
JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator with an understanding of sales / purchase ledger processes and financial reporting and previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
Working as a Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator you will work as part of the finance team, assisting with day-to-day financial processes including reconciliations, reporting, and system improvements.
As a Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator you will also be required to contribute to wider finance-related initiatives and help ensure smooth, efficient operations across the board.

DUTIES
Your duties as a Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator will include:
- Reconciliations: Support balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations
- Invoicing & Income: Manage invoicing processes, income requests, and debtor reviews
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing VAT returns and financial reports
- Banking Activities: Maintain bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Credit Card Management: Process and reconcile company credit card transactions
- Budget Support: Contribute to budget preparation and income reporting
- Process Improvement: Work with internal teams to improve finance systems and reporting accuracy
- Project Support: Assist with finance input on new projects and initiatives
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL:
- Finance Experience: Previous experience in an accounting or finance role
- Qualifications: AAT, ILM Level 2, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in financial management
- Accounting Systems: Experience using Xero or similar accounting software
- IT Skills: Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 tools
- Attention To Detail: High level of accuracy and strong organisational skills
- Communication: Good interpersonal and teamworking skills
DESIRABLE:
- Budgeting: Experience supporting or managing budgets
- Systems Improvement: Involvement in finance system enhancements or projects
- Payroll Knowledge: Experience supporting payroll processes
