About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach a specialism at Key Stage 5. You will deliver lessons that combine theory with practical investigation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly Key Stage 5)

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons with practical experiments

• Supporting pupils in developing scientific knowledge and enquiry skills

• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress

• Preparing pupils for GCSE and/or A-Level examinations

• Contributing to curriculum development within the department

• Supporting extracurricular science activities and enrichment opportunities

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

• Be confident delivering both practical and theoretical lessons

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• Be passionate about science education and pupil achievement

• Work effectively within a collaborative department
