GSL Education are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive SEN Support to join a nurturing and inclusive school in Newcastle. Your Role as an SEN Support Assistant:

* Provide targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) , either 1:1 or in small groups.
* Assist pupils with learning activities, adapting tasks where required.
* Support with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social interactions.
* Help build pupils' confidence, independence, and engagement in the classroom.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to deliver personalised support strategies.
* Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.

What You'll Need:

* Previous experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (school, care, or community setting desirable).
* A patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
* A proactive attitude and the confidence to use your initiative.
* Understanding of SEN support strategies and behaviour management.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
