What’s On Offer

• Up to £70,000 basic salary

• Monday to Friday only , 8:30am–5:30pm — no evenings, no weekends

The Role

This is a genuinely fulfilling opportunity to deliver high-quality care to patients in care homes and similar settings — away from the retail pressure of the high street. You’ll be supported by a skilled dispenser, giving you the space to focus entirely on clinical care .

You’ll be:

• Carrying out thorough sight tests following clear clinical guidelines
• Providing helpful advice on vision, lens options and eye health
• Communicating clearly with patients, care staff and families
• Helping supervise and support your team when needed
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

What We’re Looking For

• GOC-registered Optometrist with minimum 1 year post-qualified experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills — empathetic, calm, and patient-centred
• Strong understanding of NHS regulations and professional compliance
• Open-minded, positive, and able to adapt to different care settings
• Domiciliary experience welcome, but not essential
