Multi-Skilled Mechanical Bias Engineer Newcastle Salary: £34,500 + Overtime Opportunities Our client s is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Mechanical Bias Engineer to join our team on a fantastic university-based site in Newcastle. The Role As a key member of the on-site engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical systems, ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence at all times. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain domestic water systems in line with L8 compliance standards
• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on heating and air conditioning plant
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to ensure minimal downtime
• Support maintenance across wider site plant and systems as required
• Maintain accurate records using "Frontline" task sheets
• Prepare and follow method statements and risk assessments
• Ensure a safe working environment and full compliance with H&S policies
• Build strong working relationships with colleagues and client stakeholders
• Deliver a professional and high standard of customer service

About You We're looking for a mechanically biased engineer/plumber with a multi-skilled background who can confidently work across a variety of systems, including commercial plant environments. Skills & Experience

• NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing
• Experience working within a commercial plantroom environment
• Experience maintaining pumps, motors, and valves
• Knowledge of cooling towers
• Strong domestic and commercial plumbing experience
• Good understanding of health & safety compliance
• Basic IT skills

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 3 weeks: 07:30 - 15:30
• 1 week: 09:30 - 18:00
• Optional on-call rota
• Overtime available (including weekends for PPM work)
