Multi-Skilled Mechanical Bias Engineer Newcastle Salary: £34,500 + Overtime Opportunities Our client s is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Mechanical Bias Engineer to join our team on a fantastic university-based site in Newcastle. The Role As a key member of the on-site engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical systems, ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence at all times. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain domestic water systems in line with L8 compliance standards
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on heating and air conditioning plant
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to ensure minimal downtime
- Support maintenance across wider site plant and systems as required
- Maintain accurate records using "Frontline" task sheets
- Prepare and follow method statements and risk assessments
- Ensure a safe working environment and full compliance with H&S policies
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues and client stakeholders
- Deliver a professional and high standard of customer service
- NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing
- Experience working within a commercial plantroom environment
- Experience maintaining pumps, motors, and valves
- Knowledge of cooling towers
- Strong domestic and commercial plumbing experience
- Good understanding of health & safety compliance
- Basic IT skills
- Monday to Friday
- 3 weeks: 07:30 - 15:30
- 1 week: 09:30 - 18:00
- Optional on-call rota
- Overtime available (including weekends for PPM work)
