The Supply Register is currently recruiting Travel and Tourism Lecturers to join our bank of staff supporting Newcastle College. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Travel and Tourism Lecturers or industry professionals looking to move into education on a flexible basis.

The Role

As a Travel and Tourism Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and industry-relevant lessons, supporting learners to develop the knowledge and skills required for careers within the travel, tourism, and aviation sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering Travel and Tourism lessons (BTEC / NCFE)

Planning and preparing engaging, industry-focused learning materials

Supporting learners with coursework, assignments, and assessments

Linking theory to real-world travel and tourism industry practices

Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback

Creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Experience within the Travel and Tourism industry (e.g. aviation, hospitality, tourism)

Teaching experience or willingness to move into education

Strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to engage and support post-16 learners

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET)

Experience delivering BTEC / NCFE Travel and Tourism

Previous experience within Further Education
