The Role & The Work
A well-established UK firm is seeking a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor (NQ - 4 PQE) to join its growing Newcastle office, offering the opportunity to play a key role within a busy and expanding property team.
The firm has built a strong reputation for delivering efficient, commercially focused conveyancing services, particularly within the corporate and lender-led property market. Acting for a range of institutional clients, asset managers and lenders, the team handles a steady stream of transactions and provides a streamlined end-to-end conveyancing service.
In this role, you will manage a caseload of residential property sales from instruction through to completion, with a particular focus on matters arising from corporate and repossession instructions. The work involves coordinating with a wide range of stakeholders including asset managers, lenders, borrowers and third parties, ensuring transactions progress smoothly and in line with client service level agreements.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing contracts and legal documentation, reviewing titles, obtaining searches and reports, liaising with interested parties and managing sale progression through to completion. You will also be involved in preparing title reports for clients, coordinating sales via private treaty or auction and managing the distribution of any surplus funds following completion.
Alongside your own caseload, you will also play an active role within the team, supporting colleagues, contributing to operational processes and helping maintain the high standards of service the firm provides to its long-standing corporate clients.
This role would suit a solicitor who enjoys working in a fast-paced conveyancing environment, where organisation, clear communication and strong technical knowledge are essential to delivering successful outcomes.
Your Experience
- Solicitor (English & Welsh Qualified), with experience in and a passion for Residential Conveyancing
- Experience managing conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion
- Knowledge of leasehold titles and title rectification
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy caseload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team
